Audio Signature and Review

Coming to the most important part of any IEM review, let’s talk about the audio performance of the RHA MA390. The RHA MA390’s audio signature is considered to be on the warm side with an emphasis on the low end. While these are not a reference pair of IEMs, they are one of the most fun-to-use earphones at its price range. These have a V-shaped frequency response graph which means that while these might not be the most accurate, they are certainly great for listening to music.

Frequency Response

Starting with the low-end, the MA390 has a very tight and punchy low end which is great for listening to hip hop as well as electronic music. And the best part about its low end is that it is not overpowering at all and you get a great balance between the low end and highs. Moving over to the mids, the RHA MA390 lack a bit in this department as they lack a bit in the clarity and separation of the mids. Due to this, the RHA MA390 may lack a bit in vocal focused songs, but thankfully not by much. Finally, coming to the high-end products, the RHA MA390 has a clear and crisp treble with excellent separation from lows and mids of the music you’re listening which is always a great thing.

Soundstage and sound separation

And for a pair of earphones at just 2000 INR, the MA390 has a very wide soundstage. For those of you who don’t know what soundstage is, it basically tells how to open a pair of earphones sound. The wider the soundstage any earphone or headphone has, the better it is for listening to music. Not only that, but a good soundstage is also good for gaming as it gives you better directional audio. And you get the same effect in music where you can distinctively hear all of the different musical instruments.

Apart from that, the RHA MA390 Universal has a very decent sound separation due to which its excellent low-end will not muffle any of the mids or highs. There are several earphones in which the bass can be quite overpowered which muffles all of the highs resulting in poor audio quality. Thankfully, this is not the issue with the MA390 and you can expect one of the best sounding earphones at the price of 2000 INR if you are looking for a warm sounding pair of earphones.

Final Opinion

RHA MA390 Universal Review5

For a given price of just 2000 INR means that the RHA MA390 is competitively priced. RHA MA 390 gives direct competition to beyerdynamic Beat Byrd, 1MORE Single Driver, and 1More Piston Classic. And is one of best-wired earphone under 2000 INR. Not only you get a wide range of accessories included with these but they are also backed by a 3-Year warranty which is always great to have. Most importantly, the RHA MA390 has a great audio signature with tight bass and crisp highs along with balanced mids. These earphones are great for everyone who is looking for great sounding earphones with superb build quality at budget price. Overall, the RHA MA390 is a great replacement for the earphones that came included with your smartphone and are a great upgrade in terms of audio quality.
