Noise Colorfit Pro 2 – The Budget All-Rounder Smartwatch
Noise Colorfit Pro 2 Review
With the world increasingly inclined to increase human efficiency and make machines that supplement it, there is a whole lot of new fitness dedicated equipment that can help increase human efficiency with the help of technology. One such device trending now is smartwatches and fitness bands.
You will definitely want to have Samsung Galaxy Gear or Apple Watch but that might not fit your budget. Luckily, there are many more new startups developing useful smartwatches in a low to medium budget segment. One such company is Noise which launched its first-ever smartwatch, Noise Colorfit Pro. They have launched its successor named Noise Colorfit Pro 2 smartwatch and we used the smartwatch for a week. We had the jet black coloured unit with us. We are here to review and discuss if it’s a viable option to buy in this range.

Design and Build Quality
When you look at Colorfit Pro 2 for the very first time, you can be excused to mistake with an Apple Watch. The looks are quite similar to the latter. Upgrading from the Colorfit Pro, Colorfit Pro 2 has a 1.3-inch square touchscreen dial upfront which has curved bezels around it. The bezels are thick but it is the only flaw in the design.
You can buy Colorfit Pro 2 in 3 colours namely Teal Green, Jet Black and Mist Grey. Overall the display and bezels make for good contrast, especially in the Mist Grey colour. There are detachable straps that accompany Colorfit Pro 2. These straps are made up of silicone and feel quite comfortable even after wearing it for a long time. You don’t sweat much while wearing Colorfit Pro 2 which is an advantage to those wearing it in the gym or on the run.
The straps are detachable and you can easily attach or detach them using the push-lock given. Moreover, you can buy extra straps in different colours to style your watch with different clothes. The watch is very light weighing at just 35 grams which makes it very comfortable on your wrists. The strap of Colorfit Pro 2 is universal and can fit even the thinnest of the wrists because of the ample holes given on the strap. The watch has a button on the right side through which you can switch between options on the menu. The multifunction button can be used to start and stop activities and also doubles up as a home screen button. The charging support is fitted on the back of the dial which also includes the heart rate sensor.
Colorfit Pro 2 comes with a 1.3-inch LCD IPS display which displays clear pictures of 240×240 pixels resolution. The viewing angles are quite wide on Colorfit Pro 2. The colours were bright and distinctive and the display performed really good even in brighter conditions. Colorfit Pro 2 produces sufficient brightness under sunlight and the images and texts are legible. The touch is also really responsive and worked smoothly but it lags sporadically. You would realise that every once in awhile the touch doesn’t respond to the touch which is a turnoff. Having said that, the touch is quite smooth at this price.
There is no gorilla glass protection on the display although it looks tough and it didn’t break on accidental drops on the table. The only drawback in the display is that it attracts fingerprints and smudges when your hands get sweaty. You would require to clean your hands and its display with a cotton cloth in sweaty and hot conditions.
The display is also quite efficient which helps in prolonging the battery backup overall. The font on the display is legible enough and looks average. You also have the option to adjust the brightness on the display although there is no ambient light sensor, so you would have to manually adjust the display as per your needs. Colorfit Pro 2 also helps you quickly read notifications, messages, control music playback, among other features.
Software and Performance
To setup Colorfit Pro 2 for your smartphone, you have to download Noise Fit Pro 2 app on your Android or IOS device. This one app offers you a wide range of features that accompanied this smartwatch and the user interface is very user-friendly. As soon as you open this app, you have to fill your physical details like age, gender, height, weight etc. You are all set to keep a track on your daily routine from then on. This app shows you all your sleep, heart rate and step tracking data.
To look at the complete analysis of your activities, you just have to switch to the Details section. This app comes with a sleep tracking function that accurately measures your sleeping hours and gives you suggestions based on your work analysis throughout the day. You can know how much more or less you need to sleep to improve your fitness. Colorfit Pro 2 senses your motions and determines your intensity of sleep from a deep sleep, light sleep and awake options. You gotta keep in mind that Noise Fit Pro 2 doesn’t track your sleep while you’re travelling. It isn’t a good habit to sleep at a bad posture in the bus or metro anyway.
Colorfit Pro 2 also has a special feature that tracks your menstrual cycle. It analyses your menstrual cycles and also predicts the dates of your periods in the coming month. This special feature makes Colorfit Pro 2 a stand out fitness smartwatch. Although it can’t be highly accurate, the predictions come in handy in approximation.
You also get the option to set an alarm on Colorfit Pro 2 which is a very useful option for hardcore sleepers who can’t get up easily. The vibrations are mediocre but it still is a good option to set an alarm in your smartwatch since it vibrates on your wrist. Colorfit Pro 2 has Bluetooth v5.0 incorporated that provides a fast connection to your smartphone.
There is also an added music control feature in Colorfit Pro 2 that lets you shuffle through your playlist and skip or play/pause tracks through your smartwatch. It is a particularly good option for those who travel to the college or office every day in public transport. You also get a call and message notifications, so you can see who is calling you or read a message without reaching out to your phone while riding.
The step tracking function works decently and gives a good approximation of your steps throughout the day. It isn’t highly accurate and doesn’t come with a GPS to track your journey or help you navigate but it still works fine enough for a smartwatch in this range. The same can be said for the heart rate sensor which worked accurately some times but was a good approximation most of the times. We double-checked the heart rate reading and found it moderately accurate with little chances of error at times.
You can monitor a wide range of other physical activities on the device including running, walking, climbing, hiking, cycling, etc. and the user interface is quite simple. It gives you a good insight as to the time duration of your activity, calories burned, distance travelled etc. And all functions work nicely.
The smartwatch has a flagship IP68 rating and we tried dripping it inside a bucket of water a few times. We also splashed it with a little water and it kept working fine in all cases, so Colorfit Pro 2 is a very durable option in the smartwatches in this budget segment.
Coming to the battery backup, Colorfit Pro 2’s performance was mighty impressive. On regular usage, you get a magnificent 10 days battery backup from the 210mAh battery on a single full charge. It takes around 3 hours to completely charge this smartwatch which is a decent charge time looking at the battery backup.
Noise Colorfit Pro 2 is your perfect fitness buddy if you are looking for the best smartwatch in under 3000. Colorfit Pro 2 comes with a 1-year warranty for any manufacturing defects. It has all the basic health monitoring functions including the heart rate sensor, step tracking and sleep tracking sensor while it also has a special menstrual cycle monitoring feature. The display gives good colours and looks stylish albeit there are thick bezels on the front. You also get a commendable battery backup while this device is IP68 water-resistant. You also get the option of controlling music, setting alarms and reading notifications and incoming calls on Colorfit Pro 2.
Looking at all these features, Noise Colorfit Pro 2 is definitely around the top spot in Best smartwatches in 2019. There are few better options in smartwatches in this range and you could have liked thinner bezels on the display or the step tracking could be more accurate. But overall, it is the perfect choice for people looking for a stylish and useful fitness band in under 3000.
