Samsung Galaxy M40: Pros

Here are the pros or advantages of buying Samsung Galaxy M40-

  • The Samsung Galaxy M40 comes with a 6.3 inches FHD+ LCD screen with Infinity Display. Infinity display means the edge to edge screen with the camera in the corner. This gives an amazing and premium look to the phone. The display looks vibrant and is quite responsive. The touch is smooth and fluid. The viewing angles are good too. LCD display at this price point is sort of ok, AMOLED would have been ideal though. The display has a resolution of 2340*1080 pixels with 409 PPI. Here is the related video.

  • Keeping the incredible 128GB storage in mind, Galaxy M40 comes with a Hybrid SIM Slot, that is, you can use two Micro SIM at once or a Micro SIM and an SD Card. The phone comes with the internal storage of 128GB which can be expanded using the SD Card up to 512GB.
  • Taking a look at the Camera department, Galaxy M40 comes with 32MP camera, 8MP Wide Angle Camera and 5MP Depth sensing Camera. I must say, the experience that we had with the camera was indeed impressive. The 32MP camera clicks some really sharp images with true colours and the Dynamic Range is pretty good too keeping the price point in mind. The pictures came out really sharp with good detail in the indoor conditions as well.

  • 8MP Wide Angle Camera does a fairly good job when you click in the wide angle mode. The images come out to be really really wide in comparison to the pictures in the normal mode.
  • 5MP Depth sensing Camera does an excellent job at creating the desired Bokeh effect in the images. The edge detection is accurate and pinpoint.
  • The device is capable of recording the videos in 4k mode and an ultra slow motion at 240fps. Overall the Camera department is a huge thumbs up in Galaxy M40.
  • Talking about the front camera, the 16MP camera does a decent job. It clicks good pictures in the daylight conditions but struggles a lil in the indoor conditions. The images in the indoor conditions are more on the softer side. But it’s completely a personal choice. Many may like softer images and many may not. The best part about the front camera is that it too has the wide-angle mode which is really helpful in taking the group selfies.
  • Galaxy M40 comes with Snapdragon 675 Octa-core Processor. This is the same processor that is used in Redmi Note 7 Pro. It is a fantastic processor in mid-ranging smartphones. The Galaxy M40 runs smoothly with no glitches or frame drops.

  • The heavy games like PUBG, Asphalt 9, Call of Duty, Fortnite run very smoothly in this device. You can play these games in high settings, this would not cause any frame drops. The Snapdragon 675 handles all of these games well.
  • The app loading time is excellently less too. The moment you tap on an app, it pops up. So this device is not going to let you down in terms of performance.
  • Galaxy M40 comes with the latest Android Pie which runs on top of One UI which is extremely user-friendly and easy to operate. No problems in the UI whatsoever.

  • The device comes with a 15W fast charger and a USB Type C.
  • Galaxy M40 also has a Fingerprint Sensor on the back panel which is fast and accurate. The moment you tap, the device unlocks. No delay at all!

Samsung Galaxy M40: Cons

Here are the cons or disadvantages of buying Samsung Galaxy M40-

  • Galaxy M40 comes with a 3500 mAh battery which is a bit of disappointment. Most of the devices today come with at least 4000 mAh battery. The battery backup is decent enough to get you through a day. Snapdragon 675 being a power efficient processor renders a good battery backup, yet not good enough in this device for continuous heavy usage.
  • The device does not come with a 3.5mm Jack.
  • The display could have been better at this price, that is, AMOLED Display
