Nokia and Xiaomi Signs a Big Collaboration Agreement-
After the comeback of the Nokia in the year 2017, Nokia took the major step and those starts with the launch of Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6, voice assistant ‘MIKA’, application in virtual reality & Digital Health, and setting up the infrastructure of 5G. After all these, now Nokia is joining hand with Xiaomi, a world leading smartphone brand for the new innovation and delivering best technology to the world.
On 5th July 2017, Nokia and Xiaomi declared that they have signed a long-term business collaboration agreement & a multi-year patent agreement. This agreement also includes a cross-license to each company’s cellular standard-essential patents. Xiaomi also says that they had patent assets from Nokia as part of the transaction.

Nokia’s President & CEO, Rajeev Suri says that “Our Partner, Xiaomi is one of the leading smartphone company in the world and we are delighted to have an agreement with them.
Both the company deals a long-term agreement and under it, Nokia is set to provide a new network infrastructure equipment which is design to deliver the high capacity, low power requirements to Xiaomi. This equipment can also fulfill the needs of large web providers and data center operators. Based on the New Nokia’s developed FP4 network processor, and a data center fabric solution, Nokia and Xiaomi will work together on optical transport solutions for data center interconnect. Also, the companies have agreed to explore new opportunities & innovation in the area of Internet of Things, Augmented & Virtual Reality, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
